Coquinero is Osborne’s en rama Fino, released with minimal filtration to preserve the full, unmediated character of the wine as it exists in the solera. The name refers to the coquina clam, a small shellfish found on the Atlantic coast near Jerez — an appropriate reference for a wine whose character is shaped by proximity to the ocean.
The nose is vivid and expressive: chamomile, fresh yeast, lemon zest, chalk and a clean saline note from the coastal influence. The palate is broader and more textural than a filtered Fino, with excellent acidity and a long, slightly pungent finish. Drink cold and fresh within months of bottling. One of the finest en rama releases from a house with long experience in the style.
