Osborne’s Rare AOS Amontillado is drawn from the oldest sections of the house’s historic Amontillado soleras — wines that have been maintained in the great bodegas of Jerez since the nineteenth century. The AOS designation identifies a specific old solera bottling of exceptional age and character.
The nose is rich and complex: toasted hazelnuts, dried citrus peel, old caramel, leather and a fine mineral depth. The palate is dry and concentrated, with excellent natural acidity and a very long, nutty, savoury finish. A rare expression of Amontillado from a house whose soleras predate the foundation of most other bodegas in Jerez.
